Hole - 5 Lawn

Hole-5 Lawn is set alongside the fifth hole of the resort's golf course in Shirakol, giving it a backdrop of manicured fairways and open landscaping that is uncommon among Kolkata's event venues. The setting creates a destination-resort feel rather than a conventional garden banquet atmosphere. Guests also have access to the wider resort amenities — including spa facilities and recreational areas — which extends the event experience beyond the programme itself.

Yes, the lawn's open expanse can accommodate elaborate mandap setups, floral corridors, and ceremonial arrangements typical of traditional Bengali weddings. The golf course backdrop also provides a distinctive setting for wedding photography. The events team at Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa can advise on layout configurations to suit specific ritual and ceremonial requirements.

Exact capacity figures for Hole-5 Lawn depend on the event format, seating style, and décor layout planned. Guests should contact the resort's events team directly for confirmed capacity numbers suited to their specific occasion and setup requirements.

Hole-5 Lawn is well positioned for corporate gatherings, including team off-sites, incentive evenings, and product launches, where the resort environment adds a recreational dimension to a professional occasion. The golf course setting can also support golf-related activities for corporate groups, adding an experiential element beyond the main event programme. The events team can assist with bespoke corporate event planning.

Given the lawn's position alongside the golf course at Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa, groups with an interest in golf may be able to incorporate course-related activities into their event itinerary. This can be particularly appealing for corporate incentive groups or leisure celebrations where guests want a rounded resort experience. Availability and arrangements for golf activities should be confirmed with the resort directly.

The lawn's open-sky format accommodates a broad range of décor aesthetics, from traditional ceremonial styles to contemporary minimalist designs. Evening events particularly benefit from expansive lighting installations — fairy lights, lantern arrangements, and LED setups — which can transform the space dramatically after dark. The resort's events team can work with external décor vendors or provide guidance on layout and styling options.

Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa is a full-service resort property and is expected to offer catering services for events. Whether outside caterers are permitted alongside or instead of in-house catering should be confirmed with the events team, as policies can vary depending on the nature of the event and contractual arrangements.

Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa is a resort property with guest accommodation, making it well suited for multi-day celebrations or events where out-of-town guests need to stay on-site. Booking accommodation alongside an event at Hole-5 Lawn can create a self-contained destination experience for attendees. Room availability and group booking rates should be discussed with the resort's reservations team.

As a resort property set away from Kolkata's dense urban zones, Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa is expected to have on-site parking available for event guests. The resort's spacious grounds are a practical advantage over city-centre venues where parking is typically limited. Specific parking arrangements and valet options for large events should be confirmed with the venue directly.

The resort is located in Shirakol, on the outskirts of Kolkata in West Bengal. It sits in a quieter, resort-style environment while remaining driveable from key parts of the city. The nearest major airport serving the area is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport; travel times from various parts of Kolkata and from the airport should be confirmed based on current road conditions.

As an open-air lawn, Hole-5 Lawn is subject to weather conditions, which is an important consideration for events planned during Kolkata's monsoon season or on unpredictable days. Prospective clients should discuss weather contingency arrangements — such as marquee or shamiyana options — with the events team when finalising their booking. Having a backup plan in place is strongly advisable for outdoor events in this region.

Audio-visual and sound system requirements for outdoor events vary significantly based on event type and scale. The events team at Ibiza The Fern Resort & Spa can advise on what in-house AV support is available and whether external technical vendors may be engaged for more complex setups. Any noise or sound level guidelines that apply to outdoor events at the venue should also be clarified during the planning process.

Pricing for events at Hole-5 Lawn will depend on factors such as the number of guests, event duration, catering requirements, décor, and any additional resort services required.
