Grand Ballroom

The Grand Ballroom is designed to host large-format events, though exact seating and standing capacities vary depending on the layout chosen — theatre style, banquet rounds, or cocktail standing. Prospective hosts should contact the Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur events team directly to receive capacity figures tailored to their preferred setup.

Yes, the hotel's infrastructure supports multi-session wedding celebrations, and the property has supporting banquet and pre-function spaces that allow different functions — such as a mehendi, sangeet, ceremony, and reception — to be staged across the venue without the event feeling fragmented. The events team can help plan a full wedding weekend schedule across available spaces on the property.

Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur is a full-service hotel and offers on-site guest rooms, which is a significant advantage for weddings and multi-day corporate events where outstation attendees need lodging. This eliminates the need to arrange separate accommodation and keeps the guest experience contained on one property. Room block arrangements for large groups should be discussed with the hotel's sales team.

Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur is a full-service hotel with its own in-house food and beverage team, which typically handles catering for events held in the Grand Ballroom. Whether outside caterers are permitted is subject to the hotel's vendor policy, and hosts with specific catering requirements should clarify this directly with the events team at the time of inquiry.

Hotel ballrooms at Park Plaza-branded properties are generally equipped with standard AV infrastructure including projection, sound systems, and lighting rigs. The precise technical specifications for the Grand Ballroom — including screen sizes, microphone setups, and any provision for external AV vendors — are best confirmed with the events team to ensure the setup matches the event's requirements.

The Grand Ballroom's neutral, elegant décor palette is intentionally designed to serve as a versatile backdrop, accommodating everything from traditional wedding mandap setups to corporate stage configurations. The hotel's events team works with both in-house resources and external decorators, giving planners flexibility over the final look. Specific policies on external vendors and any décor restrictions should be discussed during the booking process.

Zirakpur sits at the intersection of Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula — the tricity region — and is connected to all three via NH-7 and major arterial roads, making the Grand Ballroom accessible to guests travelling from across the area. The location also benefits guests arriving from further afield, as Chandigarh Airport, which operates domestic routes to major Indian metros, is in proximity to Zirakpur.

The property offers on-site parking, which is particularly relevant for large events like weddings where most guests typically arrive by private vehicle. For events with very high attendance, it is advisable to discuss parking arrangements and any overflow options with the events team in advance.

Yes, the Grand Ballroom is well-suited to corporate formats including large-scale conferences, annual general meetings, product launches, and award ceremonies. The combination of a spacious floor plate, hotel AV infrastructure, professional events staff, and in-house catering makes it a practical choice for corporate planners who need a self-contained venue. Specific staging, breakout room, and business centre requirements should be confirmed with the hotel.

Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur has supporting banquet and pre-function spaces on the property that can be used for cocktail receptions, guest registration, networking breaks, or as holding areas for wedding guests between functions. The availability and configuration of these adjacent spaces in conjunction with the Grand Ballroom should be discussed with the events team when planning the event layout.

Chandigarh Airport (Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport) is located in the Mohali area and Zirakpur is in the same general corridor, making the two reasonably proximate. The exact driving time will vary with traffic conditions on NH-7 and connecting roads, so guests and planners should check current travel times when scheduling airport transfers for events.

Prospective hosts can initiate a booking inquiry through the Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur official website or by contacting the hotel's events and sales team directly. The team can advise on date availability, provide venue walkthroughs, and share detailed proposals covering catering, setup, and pricing. Booking terms, deposit requirements, and cancellation policies are outlined at the time of confirmation.

The Grand Ballroom features high ceilings and a ballroom-scale interior that provides generous vertical space, which is advantageous for both event photography and elaborate décor installations such as ceiling drapes or chandelier arrangements. Specific lighting setups and any provisions for bringing in external photography lighting rigs should be confirmed with the events team prior to the event date.

Yes, Chandigarh Airport connects the tricity region to major Indian metros including Delhi and Mumbai via domestic routes, making the Grand Ballroom a viable destination for events with outstation guests. Combined with the hotel's on-site accommodation, this makes Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur a practical choice for destination-style weddings and national corporate events hosted in the Punjab region.
