Plaza Lawn

Yes, the Plaza Lawn is an outdoor, open-air venue that operates under the open sky, which is central to its appeal for evening receptions and celebrations. Because it is exposed to the elements, weather contingency planning is an important part of the booking conversation. Clients are advised to discuss backup arrangements — such as marquee or canopy options — directly with the hotel's events team when finalizing their event plan.

Unlike an enclosed ballroom, the Plaza Lawn offers an al-fresco experience with the open sky as the ceiling and the hotel's contemporary architecture as a backdrop, creating an atmosphere that is particularly well suited to candlelit receptions and fairy-light-draped setups. This outdoor character makes it a popular choice for sangeet evenings, wedding receptions, and cocktail functions where guests appreciate the natural openness. Indoor banquet options at the hotel provide a climate-controlled alternative, and the events team can advise on combining both spaces across a multi-day programme.

The lawn's open expanse allows for multiple layout configurations, including a stage-and-dance-floor setup for a sangeet evening or a mandap-and-dining arrangement for a wedding reception. The hotel's banqueting team works with clients and their décor vendors to plan the layout that best serves the event's programme. It is advisable to discuss reset requirements and turnaround times with the events coordinator if multiple functions are planned on consecutive days.

Yes, the hotel operates its own in-house culinary team that caters to events held at the Plaza Lawn. Menus can be tailored to the host's cuisine preferences and dietary requirements, ranging from multi-course plated dinners to live-station buffets that are a popular choice for North Indian wedding receptions. Clients should contact the events team to discuss menu packages, tastings, and any specific culinary requirements.

Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur is a hotel property operating under internationally benchmarked brand standards, and in-house catering is the standard offering for its event spaces. Whether outside food vendors are permitted is a policy detail that can vary and should be confirmed directly with the hotel's events department before finalizing vendor arrangements.

The hotel is located in Zirakpur, Punjab, which sits along a key arterial route connecting Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula — the Tricity region. This makes it readily accessible by road from all three urban centres, and guests travelling from Chandigarh city or Mohali can typically reach the property without a lengthy journey. The hotel's exact address and directions can be confirmed via the official Radisson Hotels website or by contacting the property directly.

Chandigarh International Airport is located in the broader Tricity region, and Zirakpur's position as a gateway township means the hotel is within a manageable transfer distance for outstation guests flying in. The precise travel time depends on road conditions and the specific route taken. It is recommended to confirm the current distance and estimated travel time with the hotel when coordinating airport transfers for guests.

Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur is a full-service hotel, which means guest rooms are available on-site for hosts and attendees who wish to stay at the property. This is particularly convenient for multi-day wedding events where families and outstation guests benefit from being accommodated in the same venue. Room block arrangements and group rates should be discussed with the reservations or events team at the time of booking.

As a hotel property, Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur is expected to offer parking facilities for event guests, which is an important consideration for large lawn gatherings where many guests arrive by car. The availability of parking, its capacity for large events, and whether valet service is offered should be confirmed with the hotel's events team during the planning process.

As an open-air venue, the Plaza Lawn is subject to local noise regulations that govern sound levels and event timings in Zirakpur and the broader Punjab region. These restrictions can affect the use of live music, DJs, and PA systems, particularly for evening receptions. Clients should discuss permissible sound levels and the latest applicable curfew timings with the hotel's events team before confirming their entertainment arrangements.

The lawn's open expanse is designed to support large-scale event configurations, and a simultaneous mandap and dining layout is the kind of setup that a dedicated banqueting team would typically plan for. The feasibility of a specific layout depends on the guest count and the scale of décor elements involved. A detailed floor-plan discussion with the hotel's events coordinator is the best way to confirm what is achievable within the space.

Park Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur's events team coordinates with décor vendors and technical suppliers to support the production of events at the Plaza Lawn, consistent with the brand's service standards. Whether the hotel has its own in-house décor inventory or works exclusively through approved external vendors — and what AV equipment is available on-site — should be confirmed with the events team, as these details vary by property.

Interested clients can initiate an inquiry through the Radisson Hotels official website or by contacting the hotel's events department directly. The events team will typically discuss the event date, estimated guest count, type of function, and catering requirements before providing a tailored proposal. Early engagement is recommended for popular wedding dates, particularly during the peak winter season in North India.

Yes, the open-air character and scale of the Plaza Lawn make it a viable setting for corporate gatherings including product launches, outdoor networking evenings, and large team events, in addition to its primary appeal for weddings and social celebrations. The hotel's association with the Park Plaza brand — part of the Radisson Hotel Group — means corporate clients can expect professional event management support and internationally benchmarked service. Specific AV, branding, and staging requirements for corporate events should be discussed with the events team during the planning stage.
