Shamshabad 1 is one of the dedicated event halls at Novotel Hyderabad Airport, a full-service hotel located directly within the precinct of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, Hyderabad. As part of a property built to serve the demands of business and leisure travellers alike, the hall carries the polished, contemporary aesthetic that defines the Novotel brand — clean lines, professional finishes, and a versatile layout that adapts readily to the scale and formality required by any event. The space benefits from controlled air-conditioning, professional-grade lighting, and the kind of acoustic management expected from a hotel room designed primarily for conferences and corporate functions, though its flexibility extends well beyond boardroom settings.
Being part of a larger banquet and meeting complex at Novotel Hyderabad Airport, Shamshabad 1 can function independently for more intimate gatherings or, depending on the property's configuration, in combination with adjacent spaces to accommodate larger groups. The hotel's events infrastructure — including dedicated pre-function areas, modern audiovisual equipment, and a professional in-house catering team — supports the room directly, meaning organisers do not need to source external vendors for the fundamentals.
Shamshabad 1 is well suited to a broad range of corporate and social events. Corporate planners regularly use airport-adjacent hotel venues of this type for conferences, seminars, product launches, board meetings, and training sessions, where proximity to the terminal is a genuine operational advantage for delegates travelling from multiple cities. The room's layout flexibility means it can be configured for theatre-style presentations, classroom sessions, U-shaped discussions, or reception-style networking events, making it adaptable across a single event's programme.
Social celebrations — including cocktail receptions, engagement functions, and pre-wedding gatherings — also find a natural home in a well-appointed hotel banquet space, where the catering, décor support, and service staff are all available under one roof. The Novotel brand's established events standards ensure that whether the occasion is a quarterly business review or a private celebration dinner, the delivery is consistent and professionally managed.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport's most defining advantage for event planners is its position immediately adjacent to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, one of India's busiest aviation hubs. Delegates or guests flying into Hyderabad face virtually no transfer time between the terminal and the venue, removing one of the most common logistical friction points for multi-city corporate events or destination celebrations. Shamshabad itself sits on the southern outskirts of Hyderabad, connected to the city via the Hyderabad–Bangalore National Highway, making it accessible by road as well.
For events requiring overnight accommodation, the hotel's own guest rooms mean out-of-town attendees can stay on-site — a meaningful convenience when events run late or begin early the next morning. The combination of airport immediacy, on-site lodging, and a full events-services team makes Shamshabad 1 a practical, low-friction choice for planners who need reliability above all else.

The events team can advise on the most appropriate setup based on the nature and size of the gathering.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport is located immediately adjacent to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, meaning guests and delegates face virtually no transfer time between the terminal and the hotel. This makes Shamshabad 1 one of the most convenient airport-adjacent event spaces in Hyderabad for attendees flying in from other cities. Road access via the Hyderabad–Bangalore National Highway also provides good connectivity for guests travelling by car.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport has a larger banquet and meeting complex, and Shamshabad 1 may be used independently or in conjunction with adjacent spaces depending on availability and event requirements. Planners looking to accommodate larger groups or run simultaneous breakout sessions should discuss the full range of configuration options with the hotel's events team. Specific details on combinable spaces and divider arrangements should be confirmed directly with the property.
As part of Novotel Hyderabad Airport's events infrastructure, Shamshabad 1 has access to professional-grade audiovisual equipment in line with the hotel's meetings and events standards. This typically includes projection, sound systems, and lighting controls suited to presentations and conferences. The exact inventory of in-room AV equipment and any additional hire options should be confirmed with the hotel's events coordinator when making an enquiry.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport has a professional in-house catering team that supports events held across the property, including Shamshabad 1. Menus can typically be customised to suit the event's format — from working lunches and coffee breaks for corporate sessions to multi-course dinners for social celebrations. Details on menu options, dietary accommodations, and beverage packages should be discussed with the hotel's catering team during the planning process.
Shamshabad 1 can be set up in multiple configurations including theatre style for presentations, classroom style for training sessions, U-shape for interactive discussions, and reception style for networking or social events. The specific configuration that best fits an event depends on the guest count and programme format. The hotel's events team can provide a floor plan and recommend the most suitable arrangement based on requirements.
Yes, Novotel Hyderabad Airport is a full-service hotel with guest rooms available for overnight stays, making it convenient for out-of-town attendees or delegates whose events run over multiple days. Having accommodation on-site removes the need for off-site transfers, which is especially useful for events that begin early in the morning or conclude late at night. Room block arrangements for large groups should be discussed with the reservations team alongside the event booking.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport is a hotel property and typically provides parking facilities for guests and event attendees. Whether dedicated event parking or valet services are offered, and any associated charges, should be confirmed directly with the hotel when planning an event. Given the airport-adjacent location, the property is also accessible via taxi and ride-hailing services from the terminal.
Enquiries about availability and pricing for Shamshabad 1 can be directed to the hotel's events and banqueting team through the Novotel Hyderabad Airport contact channels, including the property's official website at all.accor.com. The team will typically ask for the event date, estimated guest count, preferred setup, and catering requirements before providing a tailored proposal. Early enquiry is recommended for dates around major corporate calendar peaks and wedding season.
Many hotel event spaces allow clients to engage external décor vendors while the hotel provides catering and venue services, but policies on this vary by property. Planners wishing to bring in outside florists, decorators, or entertainment providers should confirm the hotel's vendor policy and any associated conditions with the events team before making bookings with third parties. The hotel may also be able to recommend preferred vendors from its network.
While Shamshabad 1 is well suited to pre-wedding celebrations, reception dinners, and social functions, its suitability for a full-scale destination wedding depends on guest count and the specific format envisioned. The hotel's airport proximity and on-site accommodation make it a practical choice for weddings where guests are travelling from multiple cities. Planners should speak with the hotel's events team to understand the full range of wedding packages and space options available across the property.
Event access timelines, including when organisers can begin setup and when the space must be vacated, are typically outlined in the venue contract at the time of booking. Novotel's professional events team generally coordinates arrival logistics for both organiser setup and guest entry to ensure smooth execution. Specific timelines should be discussed and agreed upon with the events coordinator before the event date.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport, as a full-service Accor property, has a dedicated meetings and events team to support planners from initial enquiry through to on-the-day execution. The team can assist with room configuration, catering menus, AV requirements, and coordination of on-site services. Reaching out early in the planning process allows the team to provide the most comprehensive support and availability options.
Novotel Hyderabad Airport's events complex is designed to support professional event delivery, and dedicated pre-function areas are typically available alongside the banquet halls for guest registration, networking, or cocktail receptions before the main programme. Whether a specific pre-function area is allocated alongside Shamshabad 1 depends on the day's event schedule and overall venue configuration. This should be confirmed with the events team when finalising the event layout.
The primary distinguishing factor is the venue's position immediately within the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport precinct in Shamshabad, which eliminates transfer logistics for delegates or guests flying into Hyderabad from other cities. Paired with on-site accommodation, in-house catering, and the consistent service standards of the Novotel brand, the space offers a self-contained, low-friction event solution that standalone banquet venues or city-centre hotels cannot replicate for airport-dependent gatherings. For corporate events in particular, this combination of access, accommodation, and professional infrastructure is a significant operational advantage.
