Aqua

Exact capacity figures for Aqua depend on the event format — seated dinners, cocktail-style receptions, and theatre-style setups each accommodate different numbers of guests. The hotel's events team can provide confirmed figures and suggest the best layout for your specific occasion, so it is worth reaching out to them with your guest count.

Aqua is an open-air, poolside venue set alongside The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat's outdoor swimming pool. It offers natural sky views and a waterside backdrop, which distinguishes it from the hotel's indoor banquet spaces. Guests should keep in mind that, as an outdoor venue, the setting is subject to weather conditions.

As an open-air poolside space, Aqua is exposed to the elements, so weather is an important planning consideration — particularly during Kolkata's monsoon season. The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat does offer indoor banquet and event spaces within the same property, which may serve as a contingency option. Hosts are encouraged to discuss weather backup arrangements with the hotel's events team well in advance of the event date.

The poolside setting at Aqua transitions naturally from daytime to evening, and the illuminated pool backdrop is a key part of the venue's after-dark appeal. The specific arrangements for evening events — including pool lighting, access boundaries, and safety protocols — should be confirmed directly with the hotel's events coordinator.

The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat has its own catering team that manages food and beverage for events at Aqua, with curated menus available for different event formats. Whether external caterers are permitted is subject to the hotel's policy, which the events team can clarify. For most hosted events, the in-house catering capability is a significant logistical advantage.

Custom décor, floral arrangements, and thematic styling can generally be planned for events at Aqua in coordination with the hotel's events team. The team can advise on what is permitted and what décor vendors or in-house styling services are available. Hosts with very specific décor requirements are encouraged to discuss their vision during the initial planning stage.

The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat provides in-house audio-visual capabilities as part of its broader event infrastructure, and these can be extended to poolside events at Aqua. Events requiring amplified music, custom lighting rigs, or projection should discuss their technical specifications with the events team to confirm what can be arranged on site.

The hotel is located in Action Area II, Rajarhat, within the New Town township — Kolkata's principal business and hospitality corridor. It is well connected by road to Salt Lake, New Town's IT campuses, and the rest of the city via major arterial routes. App-based cabs and private vehicles are the most common ways to reach the property.

The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat's location in Rajarhat places it closer to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport than most central Kolkata addresses, making it a practical choice for events with guests flying in from other cities. The exact travel time varies with traffic, and the hotel's concierge or events team can provide current estimates.

The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat provides parking facilities for guests arriving by car, which is particularly convenient for events at Aqua drawing a large number of private vehicles. Details on parking capacity, valet services, and any associated charges can be confirmed with the hotel directly.

Yes, as a full-service five-star hotel, The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat has guest rooms available for event attendees who require overnight accommodation. This makes Aqua a strong option for multi-day celebrations or events drawing guests from outside Kolkata. Room block arrangements and preferential rates for event groups can be discussed with the hotel's events or reservations team.

Aqua's open-air poolside setting lends itself to corporate occasions such as networking evenings, client dinners, product launches, and brand activations where a distinctive environment is part of the event's appeal. The hotel's full-service infrastructure — including catering, AV, and dedicated coordination — supports corporate event requirements just as it does social ones. Specific setups for corporate formats can be discussed with the hotel's events team.

Enquiries for Aqua can be directed to The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat's events team, who will guide hosts through date availability, layout options, catering packages, and pricing. It is advisable to reach out well in advance — particularly for peak wedding and festive season dates — to secure preferred timings. The events team can also arrange a site inspection for hosts who wish to see the space before confirming.

Aqua's relaxed poolside setting and open-air ambience make it a popular choice for pre-wedding functions such as sangeet and mehendi evenings, where a vibrant, informal atmosphere is often preferred over a formal ballroom. The ability to incorporate custom décor, music, and catering through the hotel's team simplifies planning for these events. Hosts planning a wedding across multiple venues or functions within the same property can also benefit from the hotel's capacity to coordinate across spaces.
